An oppressive heat wave that lasted all through last week made me feel more than just a little under the weather and is my excuse why I didn't go to a single Fashion Week event. Luckily other bloggers aren't such weaklings so here is a list of links (all in German):

Da wir letzte Woche jeden Tag über 35 Grad hier in Berlin hatten - gefühlt zumindest - konnte ich mich nicht aufraffen auch nur zu einer einzigen Fashion Week Veranstaltung zu gehen. Zum Glück gibt es genügend andere Blogger, die nicht so hitzeempfindlich sind oder sich überwinden konnten. Links siehe oben.

Made in Africa: A Question of Hope x 5preview

A Question of Hope is a Danish company which sells T-shirts made in Africa from organic cotton also produced in Africa: "When producing our T-shirts in a Tanzanian textile factory under fair trade conditions, we are making an effort to support employment, better living conditions and sustainable growth in a developing nation in East Africa." This year they have teamed up with 5preview which resulted in three designs. The t-shirts can be bought via A Question of Hope's webshop and are currently on sale at asos.com: Love, Faith, Hope (both offer international shipping). A Question of Hope also sells blank white and black t-shirts and tank tops.

Made in Africa: Bombolulu Workshop Jewelry

"Bombolulu was established nearly 40 years ago to provide opportunities for victims of polio. It runs sheltered workshops for them in jewellery, leatherwork, carving and textile production. The group now works with 150 men and women providing them with a regular income, medical benefits and housing for the most severely disabled." (source: www.peopletree.co.uk)

Die Bombolulu Werkstätten für Behinderte wurden 1969 gegründet und beschäftigt körperbehinderte, blinde und taubstumme Frauen und Männer in der Herstellung von afrikanischem Kunsthandwerk. Diese haben durch ihre Beschäftigung in den Werkstätten ein regelmäßiges Einkommen und Zugang zu medizinischer Versorgung. Leider habe ich noch keinen deutschen (Online-)Shop für den Schmuck finden können, über einen Tipp wäre ich dankbar.
