PROGRAMME SUMMARY

DAY 1: Thursday 2nd June: SOURCING EXCELLENCE

This training day will offer participants a detailed introduction to latest developments in sustainable sourcing in the fashion sector, and include best practice case studies, certification and standards updates and reviews, reviews of production opportunities and sustainability issues in different parts of the world, supplier case studies and information on sustainable textiles, components and processes.

DAY 2: Friday 3rd June: MARKETING AND SALES EXCELLENCE

Offering comprehensive training, grounded in practice and delivered by experts, in the market for fashion products, successful branding, marketing strategy, communications, showcasing and promotion, and success with the press- all with a focus of the specific opportunities and challenges related to sustainable fashion products.

Focusing on how to make and increase sales of ethical fashion products, this training day draws from the EFF’s work with a network of buyers and shops across the sector as well as best practice from fashion brands achieving successful sales levels. Including what buyers are looking for and why, the range of shops and retail opportunities out there and how to access them, and how to achieve online and export success.

DAY 3: Saturday 4th June: BUSINESS EXCELLENCE

This training day will offer participants a comprehensive overview of latest developments in the fashion business sector- with a focus on sustainability. It will present the businesses which are succeeding in sustainability and commercial terms and evaluate this success, introduce latest best practice and the ways that fashion businesses with sustainability goals can turn challenges into opportunities, create value, access finance and build models for commercial success."
