Here's part II of my selection of personal favorites from the Key, the fair for "green", sustainable and fair trade fashion that took place in Berlin from the 1st to the 4th of July:

As part of my research for Two for Fashion's wedding themed blog parade I wrote to a couple of underwear brands to find out more about their production. I am still waiting for answers from Agent Provocateur and Wolford. Here is the reply I got from Mey, a German underwear brand, that was founded in 1948 by the brothers Franz and Karl Mey: "Around 98% of the Mey underwear range is made in our own factories in Albstadt/Germany, Budapest/Hungary and Celorico/Portugal. Some dying processes are outsourced to other manufacturers in Germany and Austria. Our factories in Hungary and Portugal are led by a German team. Be assured that we meet and exceed social standards." Something that I find quite endearing about this company: they have a museum and an online database devoted to the evolution of the sewing machine. Mey is sold in several European countries - for a list of stockists check out their website.

A very lazy copy and paste post this one but I am busy, busy, busy: "Organic Stereo is an independent ethical fashion label founded in 2008 by accomplished fashion designer Marie Rendina. [...] The overall look is feminine and metropolitan, with a sense of playfulness and vintage flair. [...] The cotton used for our Spring-Summer 08 collection was organically grown and spun in Turkey, everything else (knitting, dying, printing and manufacturing) made in Porto (Portugal), before being shipped to our warehouse in the UK. This considerably reduces the transport of goods and therefore its impact on the environment."photos: www.organicstereo.com

Potipoti was launched by Silvia Salvador and Nando Cornejo in 2005. Both of them are Fine Arts graduates from Spain and have been living and working in Berlin since 2001. "The label manufactures its fashion products in small and reliable textile companies from Castilla y Leon (Spain) and Portugal, and they can been found in selected stores around the world, in their own shop in Berlin (Oderbergerstr. 34) and online at www.potipoti.com". Right now they are having a 20% Christmas sale. Some of their old designs are on sale at styleserver.de
